UGREEN has announced a strategic safety partnership with ATL, new regional brand ambassadors, and a 55W power bank featuring an integrated retractable cable.

UGREEN has been busy expanding its global footprint and technical standards, signaling a shift from a hardware manufacturer to a lifestyle-oriented technology brand. The company, founded in 2012, now operates in over 180 countries and serves more than 300 million users worldwide. Its recent activities highlight a dual focus on regional brand identity and the advancement of power safety protocols.

Strategic Partnerships and New Power Safety Standards

In a move to strengthen its technical foundation, UGREEN has established a strategic partnership with Amperex Technology Limited (ATL). This collaboration aims to merge ATL’s battery cell technology with UGREEN’s system engineering capabilities to improve supply chain reliability and battery safety. The partnership is a central part of UGREEN's effort to implement a five-component structured safety system across its power products.

The company is also taking an active role in industry regulation. UGREEN participated in drafting GB 47372-2026, a new technical safety standard for power banks in China. To meet these rigorous requirements, the brand has adopted several advanced manufacturing protocols:

  • Digital Traceability: Using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for tracking components.
  • Automated Manufacturing: Reducing human error through automated cell matching, welding, and dispensing.
  • Rigorous Testing: Implementing nail penetration and lithium plating tests for battery cells.
  • Real-time Monitoring: Deploying systems to provide early warnings during the charging process.

The Nexode Pro 10,000mAh 55W Power Bank

On the product front, UGREEN has expanded its charging lineup with the Nexode Pro 10,000mAh 55W Power Bank. Designed for commuters and frequent travelers, the device addresses the common inconvenience of carrying loose cables by featuring an integrated retractable USB-C cable. This design allows for one-handed use and reduces the physical footprint of the charger during transit.

The unit provides a total capacity of 36Wh, which complies with international airline carry-on regulations. It includes two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, allowing it to charge up to three devices simultaneously. A smart digital display provides users with real-time data, including the remaining battery percentage, current output power, and charging status. While it supports standard 45W fast charging, it can reach 55W when paired with compatible Xiaomi devices.

Expanding Regional Presence in Southeast Asia

Beyond technical developments, UGREEN is localizing its marketing efforts through high-profile partnerships in Southeast Asia. In Thailand, the company named two-time Olympic Taekwondo gold medalist Panipak Wongpattanakit as its brand ambassador. This collaboration coincides with the 'Stay Unstoppable' campaign, which highlights the Uno 65W charger and ClipBuds Magic earbuds as essential tools for maintaining an active lifestyle.

The brand is following a similar strategy in Indonesia, appointing actor and musician Iqbaal Ramadhan as its Brand Ambassador. This partnership introduces the 'Activate Your Beat' campaign, focusing on products that integrate into creative workflows. Featured items in this region include:

  • T6 Magic Wireless Earbuds: Featuring a small integrated screen for personalized expression.
  • MagFlow Series: A collection of power banks and wireless chargers for mobile users.
  • NAS DXP4800 Plus: A smart storage system designed for photographers and videographers to secure large media files.

Meanwhile, UGREEN's product line continues to diversify, moving beyond simple cables into complex storage solutions and wearable audio. The appointment of regional ambassadors suggests the company is moving away from a one-size-fits-all global marketing approach in favor of deeper cultural integration in its key markets.

The combination of high-level safety standards and specialized hardware indicates UGREEN is positioning itself to compete more directly with established premium accessory brands like Anker and Belkin. By focusing on both the internal safety of the battery cells and the external convenience of integrated cables, the company is attempting to capture a broader segment of the modern mobile workforce. As the brand continues to scale, its ability to maintain these safety standards while expanding its ecosystem into NAS and audio will determine its long-term standing in the consumer electronics market.
