Information We Collect
We collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, referral sources, and device information. We do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it through our contact form.

We map the categories defined by the CCPA/CPRA (Cal. Civ. Hosting
This website is hosted by third-party service providers (frontend delivery and cloud-based database services). When you visit our website, these providers may collect server log files including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, and the time of the request.

User-Submitted Content
When you submit a deal through our "Submit a Deal" form, we collect the name and email address you provide. This information is used solely to contact you with questions about your submission and for moderation purposes. Submitted data is retained for as long as the deal remains on the site, and can be deleted upon request.
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email, subject, and message content. This data is used only to respond to your inquiry and is retained for up to 12 months.
AI assistants & MCP server (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok)
We operate a public, read-only MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at go.moneydeals.com/mcp that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Grok search our deals, price history and coupons on your behalf. Using it requires no account, no login and no payment, and we receive no personal data about you from the AI platform.
Data we process
- The search query and tool parameters you send (e.g. search term, category, price filters), capped at 120 characters per field
- The date and time of each request
- A platform identifier telling us which AI assistant called us (e.g. p=mcp_chatgpt, p=mcp_claude, p=mcp_grok)
- Technical logs: tool name, number of results returned, response time, success/error status, and a truncated one-way hash of the IP address (not the IP itself) used for rate limiting
We do not receive or store your AI-platform account data, chat content, login credentials or payment information.
Purposes
- Answering your request (returning matching deals, prices and coupons)
- Abuse prevention and rate limiting
- Aggregated, non-personal usage statistics (e.g. number of requests per AI platform)
Recipients
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers that operate the server and database: Supabase, Deno Deploy and Cloudflare
- Affiliate networks receive data only if you actively click a shop link in an AI assistant's answer — in that case the click is attributed to us as the referrer, as described in the "Affiliate Links" section above
Retention
MCP request logs are automatically and permanently deleted after 90 days. Aggregated statistics without personal reference may be kept longer.
Your rights & contact
The rights described in this policy (access, deletion, correction, portability, opt-out) also apply to MCP log data. MoneyDeals browser extension
Our optional Chrome extension “MoneyDeals – Tech Deal & Price Checker” shows price checks, lower verified prices and coupon codes on supported shop pages. It requires no account and contains no analytics.
Data we process
- The product title of the shop page you currently have open, or the search term you type in the extension popup
- The date and time of each request
- The platform identifier p=ext_chrome
- Technical logs at our endpoint go.moneydeals.com (tool name, number of results, response time, success/error status, truncated one-way IP hash for rate limiting) — the same logs as for AI assistants, deleted after 90 days
We do not collect your browsing history, personal data or cookies. Local settings (e.g. hidden sites, panel position) are stored only on your device via Chrome storage and never sent to us.
Clicks on shop links in the extension are counted via go.moneydeals.com/out with the identifier p=ext_chrome. Affiliate links are shown only when they offer a real advantage and are marked #ad; if you buy, we may earn a commission (see “Affiliate Links” above). Questions: support@moneydeals.com. Telegram channel & personal price alerts
Our public Telegram channel and optional price-alert bot use the same MoneyDeals bot. When you start a personal alert, we store your Telegram chat ID, optional public username, the selected deal, its target price, alert status, and delivery timestamps. We do not receive your Telegram login credentials or payment data.
We use this data only to confirm, manage and deliver the alerts you requested, prevent duplicate messages, and measure aggregate joins by placement. Alerts cover active US deals only and are limited to one message per deal per day.
Use /alerts to view active alerts or /stop to disable them at any time. Disabled alert records are automatically deleted after 30 days. Telegram processes messages under its own privacy policy. Shop and affiliate networks receive data only when you click a shop link in an alert.

State Privacy Rights (CCPA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA)
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado and Connecticut have the right to know/access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to opt out of sale, sharing for targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We respond within 45 days; refusals can be appealed to us or to your state Attorney General.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Analytics data is retained in aggregate, anonymized form.
